The Official Gruffalo Chart - Week 1
I took a break from this site, leading to these being outdated as all heck. So, here is the new version!
I should note, that all stats have been reset, so it is starting from a fresh slate.

Sabrina Carpenter
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 1
Weeks in Chart: 1
Sorry, I mean camadarie! There’s something magical about blending nostalgic 90s RnB with a modern twist, and Sabrina Carpenter absolutely nails it. Dreamy vocals, a lush instrumental, and that smooth, almost ethereal vibe that feels so underground yet polished. It has that seductive edge with a nod to The 1975, bringing in that vibe that sets it apart. It’ll be hard to knock this one down from number 1! Unless you are Precious!

Precious
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 2
Weeks in Chart: 1
2016 in a song. Every listen feels like I'm transported back to 2016, reliving those carefree days when life felt simpler. It has that perfect balance of upbeat production and exciting, "unbothered"-sounding, effortless vocals (I ADORE HER VOICE OMG), making it impossible not to smile. I know it’s going to stay on the chart for a while. Absolute perfection!

Peak Position: 3

Ayesha Erotica type vocals? Check. Four-to-the-floor pulsating beat? Check. This song has an awesome underground mood to it that sounds right at home in the 2010s "scenecore" area. It is such a bop that has seductive female vocals over it which do nothing but enhance the mystery of the song more. It adds alot! I love it!

Black & Gold
Sam Sparro
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 4
Weeks in Chart: 1
It could make a comeback! Who knows! But for now, quite a shame it had to die like this. This is the fall of Black & Gold, and I don't think anyone could have predicted such a steep decline for a song that once felt unstoppable. 1 to 4. Black & Gold now bows out, signaling the end of its reign. R.I.P.

I could write this one with my eyes closed. Good RnB song, just abit overplayed at the moment. Same old, same old. Love this song though at a late-night, and the issue is, I can't belt it at one of the morning. Ouch. I have to wait until the next afternoon...

Jax Jones, Years & Years

Peak Position: 6
Weeks in Chart: 1
Their second entry of the chart this week, a playful dance tune I vivdly remember coming out! I remember going on Snapchat sharing the "Play" filter with Olly Alexanders cartoon head, telling people to stream it. What a throwback to that absolutely cringy video... Still a tune!

BRONZE AVERY

Whilst new on this version of the chart, on the old one, it was a former a number 1! But what made it slip in a months time? No clue, but it could be possibly put down to the fact that it got over-repeated by me. Whoops, I didn't mean to!
Past positions: [7]
Tell Me
Bobby V, Lil Wayne
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 8
Weeks in Chart: 1
A smooth 00's RnB sound that is nothing but enchantingly beautiful and exciting. I love this track alot because it is so fun to belt, and also, it is so fun to bop your head to and enjoy. Lil Wayne is a chilled mood in this song, his verses capture the boom-bap beat of the track perfectly and are almost a massive juxtaposition in a way from how agressive the drum beats are! Love it!
Past positions: [8]
Feedback
La Roux, Baby Tate
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 9
Weeks in Chart: 1
Feedback is such an experimental track that you could clearly tell is from La Roux. One of my favourite artists for pop music, and this one doesn't disappoint! It packs a punch with a vibe that hits harder then any other song in the chart. You can pick up the mood of the song in seconds, whilst it takes a while for other tracks to kick in, making it really unique!
Past positions: [9]
Up in Flames
Years & Years
Last Week: X
Peak Position: 10
Weeks in Chart: 1
A colourful celebration, this song is amazingly fun and hyper and so intertwined with an 80s vibe that felt like what "It's A Sin" was trying to aim for. It is so brilliantly executed that it's made a major dent on my playlist this week, It will rise next week! I am sure!
